As a freethinking community, we advocate for accessibility, the exchange of knowledge and the development of safe spaces for the production and broadcasting of diverse cultural, and artistic practices from around the world - essential processes for social, physical and mental well-being. nettnettradio seeks to amplify community voices in efforts to spark deeper conversations about resilience in borderland regions via experimental story-telling and radio-making.

nettnettradio is an itinerant experimental radio project featuring online radio programs and multimodal artistic and cultural activations in participating communities.

In efforts to spark deeper conversations about resilienco in borderland regions, we center community voices via experimental radio-making. We advocate for accessibility, the exchange of knowledge, and the development of spaces for the creation and broadcasting of diverse cultural and artistic practices from around the world.

A diverse web of broadcasters share original programming via nettnettradio.com. Gatherings hosted in local like-minded spaces become sites for participatory real-time radio-making emphasizing experimentation in sound art and story-telling.

Como red de artistas y organizadores, nettnett celebra a quienes atraviesan portales y transforman sus realidades en el acto de ser. Con el objetivo de impulsar conversaciones más profundas sobre la resiliencia en las regiones fronterizas, centramos las voces de la comunidad a través de la creación radiofónica experimental. Area Zero: Yucca Valley

invites participants to explore sound, space, and movement through creative storytelling as a tool for community building, resistance, and celebration in the borderland regions. Drawing from
the rich cultural and environmental landscapes of the desert, the workshop emphasizes the use of storytelling to amplify local voices while highlighting the unique nature of these communities.

Tijuana and Los Angeles based nettnettradio invites people to participate in an internet radio broadcasting experiment featuring creative somatic exercises, instrument-making, and musical improvisation in an effort to provide and share space for connective and deep listening practices.

High Desert Soundings

is a two-day outdoor music festival near Joshua Tree National Park in the California High Desert. Founded in 2018 by T.J. Borden and Daniel Meyer-O’Keefe, the festival is a crossroads of experimental musicians from different communities and backgrounds, coming together to share their work and perspectives.

The festival is held at the Palms Restaurant in Wonder Valley, a homesteading frontier community. The Palms is the primary meeting place for the diverse group of artists, free spirits, and isolationists who call the valley home. Wonder Valley's natural beauty and remarkable quiet set the stage for unique, immersive, and eclectic performances.
